Environment Saaouthland

Today a lady came in from Environment Southland to talk to us about problems in Invercargill. One of the two was the mud in the Waihopai river is covering the river bed and the plants and fish struggling to survive and it is polluting the water.  The other problem is that in Seaward bush native birds to New Zealand were dying because of animals that have been imported from other countries have been killing them.

This is my self reflection of term 2 2012 at Enrich.

This is my first pick for the day It is called who am I?

For this I had to go on the internet and search up the clues given in the text but some like Leonardo I just knew.

Model of giftedness

This is Gagne's model of giftedness, it explains how gifted people develop a talent.

When you develop a talent there is a lot of chance involved.

There is chance in whether you are born gifted if the environment is right and if you are intrapersonal which means you really know yourself.

P4C

Today I did P4C about when you should use violence in different situations.

Here are the different situations that we talked about and if you should use violence or not.

Would you use violence if you were being bulled at school.

Would you use violence if a gang at school bulled you and your friends.

Would you use violence if another country was attacking your country.

I decided that the only time violence is okay is when it is used in self-defence.

Passion time

This year instead of a passion projects we are trilling passion time for one and half hours every day on a Thursday.For passion time I am doing green screening and movie magic.

The movie I am making is magic show.

The reason I am doing green screening is because I have a lot fun doing movies and I want to try and make my movies better.

P4C

Today I did P4C witch stands for philosophy for children.

The p4c I did today was about if you should lie or not.

Here are some situations.

Would you lie if you had a cookie before dinner time and your mother asked if you had had a cookie before dinner?

Would you lie to get someone you hate into trouble?

Would you lie to get someone out of trouble?

In certain situations, I guess it is okay to tell a lie.
